Student Green Patriots
Are you interested in shaping Mason and the region towards a more sustainable future? Consider becoming a Green Patriot Sustainability Ambassador. The Mason student Green Patriot program is a peer-to-peer outreach program designed to support Mason's Office of Sustainability and a number of other campus environmental organizations. The program's objectives are to ensure that students receive work experience in the field of sustainability, become active stakeholders in helping to reduce Mason's environmental impact, develop valuable green-job skills, and get the opportunity to develop and manage exciting and innovative programs the opportunity to develop and manage exciting and innovative programs. A Green Patriot is an environmental leader on campus who will work with the Office of Sustainability and other campus environmental organizations to encourage the following:
Undergraduate student initiatives for campus and local community-level sustainability projects
Offer students in all academic disciplines an opportunity to realize, advance and apply their education toward sustainability projects that will enhance and green the Mason campuses
Facilitate partnerships between faculty, staff, students, and the community
