The Office of Sustainability started in 2007.

Mason aspires to be climate neutral by 2050.

We received a STARS Gold rating in 2014.

Students can choose from over 125 Green Leaf courses.

Students can experience a Sustainability pathway through General Education courses (Mason ENCORE series).

The mission of the sustainability office is to use the strengths of George Mason University - innovation, responsiveness, flexibility, and community strength - to provide leadership in environmental, social, and economic stewardship on our campuses and throughout the local and global communities of which we are a part.

    Do NOT miss your chance to network with Green Employers!

    Mason’s Green Jobs Networking panels will held during Mason’s Fall 2017 Career Fair on October 4th & 5thbetween 11:00am and 4:00pm in the Johnson Center on the Fairfax campus.

    To complement this Career Fair which will take place in the JC’s Dewberry Hall, Green Jobs panels will take place in the JC Cinema, and will feature green employers organized by topic area. Each panel will be approximately 1.5 hours long – the first hour will give each employer an opportunity to give a short introduction of their organization, and field questions from students about open positions, internships, the field of work, and desired qualifications. The following half hour will be reserved for networking one-on-one.

    Save the Dates:  Oct.  4 & 5  *Specific panel times forthcoming – keep an eye out for your interest area!
