Recycling Glass On-Campus

If you’ve been following local news, you might know that as of October 1, 2019, Fairfax County no longer accepts glass bottles and jars in their curbside recycling program [source]. When you recycle glass on campus, please continue to deposit your glass items in the co-mingled container that accepts aluminum, plastics, glass, and steel. Mason’s wonderful Facilities Management team is aware of the changes and is in contact with Waste Management to discuss how this impacts our waste stream. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all things sustainability, so check back soon!
