The Green Office Challenge (GOC) is a certification process that recognizes offices and departments on Mason’s campuses for reducing their environmental impact. The program outlines a specific set of ‘green’ measures and actions that departments and offices can implement in their work-space to become Green Office Certified.
What is the purpose of the program?
The purpose of the Green Office Challenge is to help Mason become more sustainable, one office and department at a time. It is a fun and practical program that provides participants with the opportunity to learn while making an impact on campus. The program outlines concrete actions each individual, office, and department can take to reduce their environmental impact and provides the resources, guidance, and support needed to ensure sustainable actions and behaviors are implemented. The GOC provides a unique and exciting way for offices to engage in professional development and create community while making positive changes for people and the planet.
