April 2, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

RAIN DATE: April 2 from 6:30PM – 8:00PM
Join Environmental Intern & Naturalist, Nayeli, for an evening Bioblitz workshop to identify frogs and other amphibians. We’ll meet at the Mason Pond bridge before twilight to get started. We’ll look around the streams and vernal pools to carefully capture the frogs, photograph them and record audio of frog calls, to later upload to iNaturalist for our biodiversity assessment of Spring 2024.
Help to assess biodiversity at George Mason University while discovering the many different creatures that live on campus. Use your eyes and phone camera to record as many species as possible within the the dates March 15 to April 30, with a focus on endangered species.
Join our guest experts throughout the spring for ID workshops, such as an evening workshop to identify frogs by Mason Pond. Or an early morning time to look for birds.
Sign up here to join the workshops. Also, add to the Bioblitz project on the iNaturalist app to record your findings. Learn More about Bioblitz!
GET ENGAGED. MAKE A SUSTAINABLE IMPACT.
Every action matters.
Let’s act more sustainably individually and as a Mason community to make the university even more sustainable!
Integrate the sustainability topics you care about into your day-to-day: class projects, academic courses, research, and your work at Mason.
Let’s act this Campus Sustainability Month, every day, and every month!
