Support Patriot Packout’s annual donation collection efforts during our Donation Prep Event this Earth Month!

Volunteer to prepare donation boxes and supplies for donation drop-off locations during Patriot Packout (PPO) 2024!

SHIFT OVERVIEW:  This volunteer shift is scheduled for Thursday, April 4th, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. This is an outdoor volunteer shift and will involve some light walking, bending, and light lifting/carrying activities (approx. 10-15 lbs.).  During this shift, volunteers will help University Sustainability staff wash and label reusable donation baskets, organize cardboard donation boxes, as well as prepare other supplies needed for Patriot Packout’s donation collection and free redistribution efforts.

LOCATION:
Volunteers should meet outside of the Facilities Administration building on the Fairfax Campus for the start of their shift. See Google Map pin here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/B1y8AKoBpxMyjorTA

VOLUNTEER SUPPLIES:
All volunteer supplies will be provided. This is an outdoor volunteer shift, so we recommend volunteers wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty. Volunteers are also recommended to be mindful of sun protection (sunscreen, large-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sun-protective clothing, etc.) since the shift is outdoors.

If you can, we also recommend bringing a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated! Hydration stations are close by in the Facilities Administration and Facilities Management buildings – a staff member will help you find them.
